Ryanair reinforces Girona airport with new destinations

Ryanair has announced four new destinations from Girona Airport, including Paris Beauvais. The airline will offer flights to the French capital from the end of March 2022.
Girona Airport is expected to be boosted by these new destinations and by Ryanair's decision to relocate there, after reducing its services in recent years. The French capital is one of four new destinations at Girona Airport, along with Riga (Latvia), Leeds (England) and Knock (Ireland), to be operated by the low-cost airline.
After the pandemic pause (especially last winter, when Ryanair cancelled all its flights from Girona airport), the Irish airline has moved to Vilobí d'Onyar airport (Girona).
According to the latest data available from AENA, corresponding to September, Ryanair transported 52,474 of the 69,028 users who passed through the airport that month. But although the Irish company is still the one that transports the most passengers to the Vilobí d'Onyar facilities, its figures are still far from the pre-pandemic data, as in September 2019, 178,355 people used the airline.
